The GSA Proton 2070 is a safe, shielded device.
Unlike other degaussers with "bare" magnets, the 2070 cannot accidentally ruin other magnetic media that may be near. The 2070 does not require a skilled operator to insure proper declassification of the target data. A simple pass through the 2070 insures complete, effective erasure.
Completely degausses the following materials:
ZIP 100 Mb. & 250 Mb.
Travan TR-3 (4/8 Gig.)
TR-#, TR-1, 4 & 8 mm. DLT
All 3 1/2" and 5 1/4" Floppys
120 Mb. Super Floppy
Jaz 1 & 2 Gig. disks
RDAT 4 & 8 mm
All Phillips-type cassettes
CLIK disks
Magnus 1/4" carts
Std. 1/4" data carts
Any type I,II or III media less than 5/8" thick by 5 1/4" wide.
Maximum defense in floppy diskette and data cartridge control is the Proton Engineering Model 2070 Degausser/Eraser.

The GSA Proton 1250 is NSA/CSS EPL 04-02-F Approved for Optical Media Destruction. We also carry a 220 Volt, 50 Hz model 1250 INT for overseas customers.
Certified for use on CD-ROMS, WORM CD, CD-RW, CD-R
Department of Defense Approved.
Features:
Simple to use
Compact Design
Quiet Operation
Base Cabinet with casters
Self-contained collection tote
Meets all DOD specifications for destruction of optical media

The GSA Proton 1250A is NSA/CSS EPL 04-02-F Approved for Optical Media Destruction
The GSA Proton 1250A completely destroys CD
and DVD optical media with hi-pressure
indentation that destroys the optical plane and
renders it unrecoverable. An automatic feeder
holds 200 CD, DVD or Blu-Ray disks and
processes 1000 per hour, with the label in
either direction. The unit has a delay circuit
that allows the disintegrator to run 5 minutes
after the front panel power switch is turned
"off", thereby insuring that the disintegrator
clears all debris prior to shutdown. The GSA Proton 1250 series is on the NSA Evaluated Products List and meets all NIST and DoD guidelines for electronic data disposal.

The GSA Proton T-4 is engineered to provide robust degaussing features and is NSA approved for hard drive media up to 5,000 Oe and tape media up to 2800 Oe. These are the maximum media coercivities available today and the maximum coercivity available for NSA test purposes. The GSA Proton T-4 actually produces 40,000 gauss uniform fields (4 Tesla) and usual NSA requirements are three times the flux versus media coercivity. If this general requirement is extrapolated, the GSA Proton T-4 with 4 Tesla should reliably degauss media with a coercivity of 13,330 Oe. In simple terms, the GSA Proton T-4 will not be outdated soon and will degauss your magnetic media for many years to come. No other degausser compares!

DoD/NSA approved list for optical media and label destruction.
The GSA Proton Model 2495 provides the ultimate data destruction of optical media, automatic security for optical media formats, and assures Department of Defense secure destruction requirements are met.
The machine incorporates an autoloader capable of handling a stack of 200 discs at a time, safely processing more than 1000 discs per hour.
The GSA Proton 2495 automatically destroys the optical plane of the disc and processes the optical plane into small (3/32” or 2.4mm) bits to obliterate all label data.
