The GSA Proton Model 2495 provides the ultimate data destruction of optical media, automatic security for optical media formats, and assures Department of Defense secure destruction requirements are met.
The machine incorporates an autoloader capable of handling a stack of 200 discs at a time, safely processing more than 1000 discs per hour.
The GSA Proton 2495 automatically destroys the optical plane of the disc and processes the optical plane into small (3/32” or 2.4mm) bits to obliterate all label data.

The GSA Proton 1250A completely destroys CD
and DVD optical media with hi-pressure
indentation that destroys the optical plane and
renders it unrecoverable. An automatic feeder
holds 200 CD, DVD or Blu-Ray disks and
processes 1000 per hour, with the label in
either direction. The unit has a delay circuit
that allows the disintegrator to run 5 minutes
after the front panel power switch is turned
"off", thereby insuring that the disintegrator
clears all debris prior to shutdown. The GSA Proton 1250 series is on the NSA Evaluated Products List and meets all NIST and DoD guidelines for electronic data disposal.

The Garner Model CF-750 II-A drawer style degausser meets the National Security Agency/Central Security Service Specifications L14-4-A and Department of Defense Manual 5200.28M for erasure of Type II-A Magnetic Media.
Meets NSA/CSS/DoD Type II-A erasure requirements Drawer Type Degaussers: These are electromagnetic degaussers that provide
automatic one pass operation for tape storage device erasure. Models certified for disk
storage device erasure can be used to erase disks 3.5” or smaller. The disk must be placed
horizontally, degaussed once, turned over and degaussed a second time. All extraneous
steel shielding materials (e.g., cabinets, casings, and mounting brackets), but not the hard
disk assembly, must be removed before degaussing. The degaussers must be operated at
their full magnetic field strength. The erasure of hard disk drives causes damage that
prohibits their continued use.
